Rex Tyler is the original superhero known as Hourman. Using his talents as a research chemist he designed a drug called "Miraclo" that would grant him super-powers such as increased strength and durability for exactly one hour. He became a member of the Justice Society, the All-Star Squadron, and the Freedom Fighters.
