Wheatwit and Conflagrain — Description
My original Grass/Fire-type was a cross between a pineapple and a tiki, but all my old regions were island-based, and I'm not sure I could justify a pineapple tiki in the Midwestern US. Maybe as an invasive species from Alola? Either way, I created these monstrosities instead.

Wheatwit (Grass/Fire) - Flaming Pokémon
Abilities: Flame Body / Prairie Burn* / Rattled (HA)
*Prairie Burn - This Pokémon is always burning and can't be affected by other status conditions. It loses a bit of HP each turn in exchange for boosting the power of its moves.
Dex Entry: "The tips of its wheat stalks are perpetually on fire, so Wheatwit never stops shrieking. This tips off its natural predator, Prospinch, to its habitat."
Stats: 40 / 60 / 40 / 60 / 50 / 50 (300)

Evolves into Conflagrain with a Fire Stone or Leaf Stone

Conflagrain (Grass/Fire) - Wildfire Pokémon
Abilities: Flame Body / Prairie Burn / Chlorophyll (HA)
Dex Entry: "Its burning head has completely numbed its senses, so it's no longer bothered. It carts caravans of Wheatwit around the prairies it makes home, burning up any predators in its way."
Stats: 85 / 125 / 100 / 70 / 80 / 70 (530)

These two are based on wheat plants and the phenomenon of prairie burning. The nature center in Michigan where I worked had a giant prairie that we had to periodically burn every couple of years to prevent from overgrowing - now, what if it never stopped burning?
