Here we see some "what if" goodness. The Marvel cannon of characters is so vast, there I many I wish we could've had the opportunity to see.

It brings a tear in my eye knowing that the X-men haven't made an animated debut in almost 10 years. Marvel's greatest Mutant Heroes need some love, COME ON!

I think the issue of Marvel animation is more complicated than people give it credit for. I heard debates online whether such a well-made and successful Marvel Cinematic Universe justifies the death of good Marvel animated shows. For most people it's better than the MCU is as successful as it is as a result of Disney's resources and power backing them. To be fair to Disney, they did give Marvel a good amount of creative freedom with their films, I can't imagine the MCU being able to make movies like Guardians of the Galaxy or Infinity War while in partnership with Paramount, at least within it's first 10 years. Now do I wish their animated shows held up to the high standard of the films while also being independent creatively as in not forcing an MCU references, of course I do. But a t.v show, no matter how great it is, has a very limited-life span compared to a cinematic universe.Β
Does that mean I am defending Disney's control over Marvel, no but I think this was a no win situation. Either the MCU has a much shorter life-span and we get to see the Marvel shows we love live on for an extra season or two. Or the MCU lasts for 10 years but most of their other media suffers. Of course there's also the original Marvel comics and how they're received, but that's a really controversial subject that I rather not get into now.
But with the massive positive critical reception of Into the Spiderverse, and Marvel games getting more traction with the success of the Spider-Man PS4 game, perhaps there is more hope for Marvel in other media. Perhaps pawning off their properties to other companies, which may be the best direction for Marvel animated shows, who knows. Hell, maybe we'll get a Marvel animated show that's actually great on Disney+ if Feige feels that all Marvel related content on that service should live up to the quality standards of the MCU.
Who knows, I still miss Avengers EMH and wish it got another season to the point where I was one of thousands of people who signed a petition to bring Avengers EMH back. It's sad that a show we all loved so much is gone, but we got to look to a future.

We'll see if they make an X-Men or Fantastic Four show/game/film. It will take time. Most people wager that we won't get a FF movie until the year 2025, because of how Marvel has established this long form plan and implementing new material right away might be too difficult. In terms of a show or game I don't know. We'll see.

If there had been X-Men in 8096 other than the team Wolverine led, it would have been awesome. Obviously, you would be responsible for bringing them to life.

I doubt that we would have been able to actually do the X-Men, dues to the fact that 20th Century Fox had the rights to all things X-Men. I did this because I love the X-Men and wished that we could have drawn them into the show.

I know this has been a while since this statement, but I am pretty sure that Marvel owns the Animation Rights to ALL characters including the X-Men.

remember that Yost said that Wolverine and the X-men was in the same continuity with AEMH, andΒ Joshua Fine had reportedly considered incorporating tie-ins withΒ the show, before his cancellation, then i dont see non problem with the animation rights

W The x-men should have bin in this show they made a reference to them once and showed us a glimpse at which one's would appear if they did show up from what I gather in that super-skrull invitation episode the x-men there are.... Colasses Wolverine cyclops night crawler beast and gambit(no girl x men fechers showedup on the two x-skrulls) so it was literally every guy on my x-men dream team. But who knows maybe they were planning on doing that sadly we may never know

I designed the Super Skrulls for that episode. I tried to get the female X-Men in. I got shut down unfotunately. I had designed a Super Skrull female that was Storm, Ms. Marvel and Spiderwoman.... ah well.
