Description

What’s up, everyone! I hope you’re all doing great today because I’m bringing you another commission for today… courtesy of our host @rabastanlestrange , whom I thank for allowing me to make this post for all of you to enjoy. Now, a little bit of context for this situation…

It’s a tumultuous time in the African jungle.

After an exceptional rainy season, life has become harder for the Waziri tribe in the West and the Nyamwana tribe in the East. Good neighbors for generations, now that not even the combined efforts of both tribes’ hunters and gatherers are enough to keep every family fed, the two peoples have come to blows over the jungle’s diminished food supply.

Hating the prospect of his home turning into a battlefield, Tarzan tried to mediate the dispute between the two groups, insisting that the forest can still provide enough to sustain both if they cooperate. Unfortunately, it was to no avail. Thanks to his reputation for strength and courage, the Nyamwana have the utmost respect for the human head of the gorilla clan, but his frequent contacts with the Waziri and his long-time friendship with Basuli, their greatest warrior, mean that they cannot trust him in the role of the impartial arbiter. Only force of arms will decide who will survive.

As both tribes launch small raids to test the enemy’s strengths and weaknesses in preparation for the battle that will decide the fate of the two peoples, Naoh, wife of Basuli, goes to visit her friend Jane Porter, wife of Tarzan, in the couple’s tree house. The world seems to have gone mad. The men can’t stop talking about dying as true warriors and the other Waziri women either say nothing or relish this talk. She needs to speak with somebody who has yet to be infected by this illness of the mind.

Unfortunately, as the two women take a walk near a stream deep in the forest, racking their brains to find a way to prevent the imminent bloodshed, a Nyamwana raiding party bumps into them. Recognizing them as the spouses of important enemies, the warriors take the two women prisoner and force them to march to their village. Their value as hostages is incalculable, after all.

Once they reach the hamlet, Naoh and Jane are immediately entrusted, as per tradition, to the women of the tribe, who gleefully take them into custody. Many tales are told about the valor and bravery of the Nyamwana men. Not enough is said about the cruelty and ingenuity of the Nyamwana women. No one has ever escaped from the Pit, the place where all prisoners are held. Will Jane and Naoh be an exception to this rule?

LOL! Of course not! Just look at them and tell me they have a snowball’s chance in hell, I dare you! But don’t worry, Tarzan and Basuli will come to their rescue—eventually.”
