Clothes Ripping Tutorial 3 — Description
Step Three: The fun part !

This is where we start to make the rips for our clothes. What we are doing is cutting out holes in the clothed picture and pasting it on top of the naked picture so that it appears that our model's clothes are bursting to shreds.

There are a few ways you can do this. Each way has its drawbacks. First, we will start with the way I use most often.

We'll take our 'en' tool and make a path of the area we'd like to see get ripped. Make sure at the top that you have the pen set to 'en' and also set to 'aths' and not 'shape layers'.

Drop your anchor points and make a path, and close it off nicely. Once that's done, right click on your path and chose 'make selection'.
