Description
This brief OVA was indeed… wow. Fun and excellent to watch. The ‘gore-factor’ was relatively high compared to what I initially was thinking it’d be like after learning that there were sex scenes in it. However, my full respect for this anime initially came from my conjured-up-affection for the ‘Bad Girl’ Momomi. This one’s up on AdultDreemz.com right now, so when I skimmed through it quick like being sure there was hentai in it to go with the website theme, I saw a couple of explosions and shotgun and pistol shots… I was thinking to myself, “Well… wow. Quite the action anime for a hentai.”
After I spoke to one of my buds regarding this anime, I learned that this was indeed simply an OVA released after the original—and then it all clicked together. However, back to Momomi. When I first saw her, I was like, “She’s the bad guy eh?” I normally fall for “The Bad Girls,” but Momomi had me hooked… for a while. I didn’t know her true character—and even after learning of it—it so suited her.
An “I’m-all-that-and-a-bag-of-chips-plus-the-subway-sandwich-and-extra-cookies…with-one-large-cup-sweet-tea” kind of attitude. The daughter of a gangster. A thrill killer. A true. Psychopath. By the end of the anime, I was pretty much glad Mikura took ‘her out in the end… initially… I wasn’t (while skimming, I saw Momomi get hit and didn’t know what the hell was going on other than that a short-cut-pink-haired-cutie took down this GORGEOUS Red-head with a look-of-attitude… at the time—I had no idea of the storyline and who-was-who… I just felt sorry for Momomi. After I saw the anime from ep one to the end of ep two… I didn’t feel so sorry for Momomi.
Momomi is that kind of character you kind of “Love to hate…” that you want to see her end… but you kind of… don’t. She reminded me a lot of Gogo’s appearance in Quentin Tarantino’s “Kill Bill Vol. 1.” She’s this—atrocious force—that is a driving force to the anime just as Mikura is… but at the same time while ogling her ‘Bad Girl’ attitude [character look!] and unscrupulous impulse to kill—you kidna wanna see her die… but then ya’h don’t. As for the protagonists… the interesting spin on this ‘Alternative Detective Agency’ was that there was no glamorous detective office or anything like that. They do indeed… live in… a trailer.
A really bad looking ‘crashed’ trailer in the mist of a junkyard. But of course, after looking at their line of work—it is kind of obvious that living a ‘The Bourne Identity’ or “Shooter” kind of “isolated Lifestyle” is virtually a ‘must’ rather than a ‘may.’ The OVA has me a bit curious about the full series, but as for now—I am kind of in the practice of viewing some of the anime content I currently offer on AdultDreemz.com.
Which lead me to viewing this brief OVA in the first place (which I had no idea even existed until this year. But of course… there’s a lot I don’t know exists out there in the world of entertainment and ‘Our Current World’ outside it I’m sure! ^_^
