Haart - reference sheet — Description

Haart is the one that's probably gone through the most changes in the redesign - the idea of Haart getting paramagical powers and becoming a walking OSHA violation came to me in a similar time as him getting an actual, way overdue redesign. With this ref I had to think a bit about dwarves' facial features and proportions. I gave them hard, claw-like nails. It's only a detail, but I think it fits my vision of many human-like species having some slightly animal-like traits. The discoloration on his palms is a side effect of using his powers (conjuring instense heat through hands). Sometimes it's more evident, sometimes it disappears completely.

Between having to to finally draw the mouflon/musk ox-like creatures the dwarves sometimes use as mounts and designing Haart's original mercenary group's emblems this may've been the most demanding refsheet out of the set, in regards to background work.
