Feb 1 - An Egg — Description

For the month of February, my prompts are going to be focused on shading, values, and the like. Starting off on the simple side, I was tagged with drawing an egg, shaded. Thanks to the blur tools of digital art, I got it to look okay, but I was not able to get the shading to work without the tool, despite several tries. Additionally, the smudging caused some of the shading to spread out of the egg shape, so I had to go back and clean it up with an eraser. If anyone knows of a better way, I'd love to hear about it.
Side note, I realized that there isn't a big difference between the shape of an egg and the shape of an avocado 😄 I had to practice the outline a lot to get something that looked more egg-like.
