M-90 Linear Sniper Rifle — Description
The Sidonia Dynamics M90 Linear Rifle is a long rang rail gun, its name Linear is a descriptor of the heavily integrated systems that make the gun. Its battery and magazine are one unit like the barrel is also the rail system and plasma condenser. Instead of a tubular barrel, the Linear rifle has two conductive rails, parallel to each other covered by a circular plasma absorption device which after firing will cool the plasma and eject it away from the user and sights. This process releases an IR signature but the 11.5x60mm slug ensures a kill range of over 5 km and is only limited in effective range based on the scope and user. The rifle is by far the premiere weapon used in Assassination and Recon operations conducted by the IMSF. In comparison to more convention 20mmx102mm sniper rifles the Linear Rifle doesn't need a power armor clad operator. This fact has allowed Sidonia Dynamics to enter mass production of the weapon as a leading anti-material rifle.
