Antediluvian — Description
Maple with acacia facing / Maple scrathplate / 25 1/2 inch scale length.

This is one of the first really big challenges I've taken on and to mine and everyone elses amazement finished with flying colours! I've been playing guitar for about 6 or 7 years now and never thought to myself that I should build one of my own in all that time but towards the end of last year I was informed by the Universe that it was time to do it. So there I sat in early November with no tools and, more importantly, no woodworking experience at all to speak of, drawing up plans for this creature...thinking all the time it'll probably never come to anything. But by January I had all the tools and wood I needed,so I dove in and two and a half months, and two sore arms later here it is. For those who are interested the pick-ups/electronics are all standard Telecaster and the body shape is modelled on a National Glenwood guitar from the 60's. Of course it aint perfect but it plays well and sounds beautiful so I'm happy. I do plan to make another but might wait a few months for my arms to recover!
