Freedom — Description
This is from a shoot with a male model\dancer. I wanted to explore mixing gender specifics, hence the heels and the hood with ponytail. The idea is that these plus the ballet style jump are feminine, but it's a male body. The title as well as the obvious freedom of being able to jump like this and fly through the air also hints towards the freedom to be an individual, for example a man wearing high heels. There's also the freedom that one might feel from wearing a mask and having their facial features hidden.
I think I got fairly close to the image I had in my mind that I wanted to create, and the model was fantastic on the day coming up with lots of ideas and keep jumping until I managed to catch it at the right moment.
