Birdclock pg6 — Description
The clock activates and psychically puts the two into a deep sleep (yes it's a sentient giant clock with psychic abilities...all done thru the metal hat's connection mind you).
Then once the two are asleep the clock goes into their memoy and experiences everything that these two have and what it's like to be human and what it's like to be a bird person.
