NGE: Trinity — Description

Back in November I uploaded Trinity: Neon Gospel Evangelion , a poster-piece I was developing for a fanfic my brother Arty_Dee never got round to writing. After the very positive response it recieved, I decided that for Christmas this year, I'd do something special for my brother, and commissioned the amazing artist PotterzillaSeries to produce artwork based on his various fan-projects. As such, here is Trinity, reimagined in spectacular style.

For those unfamiliar with the previous post, Trinity was concieved as an AU Evangelion fic where Shinji died during his first ever sortie in Unit-01 (the battle against Sachiel, the 3rd Angel), resulting in massive consequences for the whole of NERV as Misato pushes through an organisational shake-up to ensure they never fail their pilots again. As you can see, one of the consequences is the recruitment of Hikari Horaki to fill the third slot on the pilot roster (as pilot of Eva Unit-03), the appointment of Asuka as 'lead pilot' (with responsibility for her team-mate's training, safety, wellbeing and performance) and the retirement of the unreliable Eva Unit-00, with Rei instead being handed the reins of the third Production-type Evanelion, Eva Unit-04.

And these were just the first few dominoes we planned to topple... new Angels, new foes, new challenges and triumphs and pits of despair for our characters to confront, surmount and tumble into. And in the background there develops a new technology that might just change the footing of the war entirely, the mysterious TRINITY System...

Whether or not Trinity ever gets written remains to be seen, but for now I invite you to bask in the glory of this piece, a tribute to Potterzilla's skill and the timeless appeal of these characters.
