Description The Influence Map by [link] has been spreading around the dA community like hotcakes lately.

I have been seeing a large variety of them, so I decided to make one for fun.

These are my influences:

Super Mario Bros: Mario influenced me to draw Rosalina, Daisy, the Mario bros themselves, and having a habit of drawing power-up mushrooms, starmans, fire flowers and lumas in my doodles and autographs. In every yearbook that I sign, I always leave behind either a power-up mushroom or a fire flower.

Team Fortress 2: I admire Team Fortress 2 for its artwork, gameplay and voice acting. I crave the 1960's to 70's theme in the game, the design of the characters and the depth of personality in the characters. Although TF2 haven't influenced me to draw the distinct classes (It will sooner or later), it has influenced me with unforgettable quotes from the game and inspired me to cosplay as the RED Engineer from TF2 at AE 2010.

Ape Escape: Although I don't play Ape Escape anymore and stopped contributing to the Ape Escape fandom, it inspired me to join Youtube and deviantART. It was also the main reason in making me interested in drawing fanart and learning the Japanese language. Ape Escape will still remembered as the first true video game fandom I ever had, even though I am no longer interested in it.

Pocket Monsters Special: Pokesupe or Pokemon Adventures remains as the largest influence in my fanart collection. The manga series influenced me more than the anime show, ever since I was a kid. I remembered reading the very first volumes of the manga series, and I still enjoy reading them up to today.

In comparison to the TV show, I find that the characters in Pokesupe have more depth in personality, the series itself is VERY faithful to the games, and it is MORE MATURE and DRAMATIC than the anime show.

Super Smash Bros: Super Smash Bros plays a great amount of influence by introducing me to many other Nintendo franchises. It introduced me to franchises such as Star Fox, Zelda, F-ZERO, Kirby and Metroid.

Pixiv: Pixiv is a art community filled with many talented Japanese artists. Their artwork has greatly motivated me to draw more Nintendo fanart.

Pokemon (games): The Pokemon franchise has been a big part of my life since childhood. The addictive gameplay in the games are responsible for making me play it for hundreds of hours.

dA: deviantART has motivated to draw better with its useful tutorials, and inspiring artwork. Over the past four years, my drawing style has improved ever since the day I joined deviantART.

Street Fighter: Recently, I have been getting very interested in the Street Fighters. I give credit to the friends I hang out with in high school who influenced me to play Street Fighter. I have been trying to draw some of my favorite Street Fighter characters lately, and I hope to post one soon!

P.S: The Street Fighter picture in the influence map and my recent favorites are giving away a small hint of my future fanart submission! Do you know what's going to be in my next submission?

All pictures belong to their rightful owners

Extra Note: I didn't expect that I wasn't able to draw a lot of fanart this summer, since I have been busy preping for university, and playing TF2, Mario Galaxy 2, and Super Street Fighter IV. I apologize for not being as updated as I should have been.
