IRS 3GA Commando — Description
A master of a hundred skills and a veteran of a thousand battles, the Commandos are elite general-purpose infantry who excel in not only standard infantry doctrines (mechanised warfare, anti-tank hunting, urban combat, fighting from concealed terrain, etc.) but also in unconventional missions such as deep recon, sabotage and infiltration behind enemy lines fitting for their caliber. In a major offensive, they are often deployed in special assault teams to storm and break through the enemy's flanks in concert with other forces and support assets.

Since almost every Commando was once upon a time a Rifleman, their gear is nearly identical sharing the same uniform, SIBAS-3 body armor and weapons save for a few more fancy gadgets and access to a slightly expanded arsenal with the addition of more compact small arms such as carbines, bullpups and PDWs. Thorough training and long experience has made the Commandos exceptionally tough, resilient and adaptable - able to fight with heavy field packs and survive in remote and difficult environments for extended periods of time, something the younger Riflemen highly respect and venerate them for.
