Yeah, she does not get much exposure compared to Spider-Man/Peter Parker, Venom/Eddie Brock, and Carnage/Cletus Cassady since they have been hosts of symbiotes.

I liked the idea of Spider-Gwen, but i feel that the execution was somewhat lacking, it could had been much more really.

That's what I'm saying. However, while I like the idea of Gwen becoming a hero herself, I don't like the idea of her getting powers the same way Peter did (and don't get me started on how I feel about alternate universes for Spider-Man). I decided that a symbiote was the better option for Gwen, but since I like the idea of Agent Venom more than Gwenom, the Scream symbiote sounds like the better (and hotter) option. Also, Gwen's the only person I pair with Peter (I'm not acknowledging her death in the comics); I prefer Peter and MJ as little more to each other than friends like in the Spectacular Spider-Man.

I feel like she was poorly used to be honest, the whole fight, while impressive, it's more like a cameo moment to have Scream to show up for a few minutes and then dying out like nothing happened.

Also, i hate how Insoniac pretty much went for the evil route when it comes to the symbiotes, while in the comics it is stated that been merged with a Symbiote doesn't turn you evil, however, it can make you more emotionally unhinge if the host's mind is in a bad place.

It’s a little more than a cameo in my opinion.

They definitely could have done more with it, but this is the highest profile appearance Scream has ever had in mainstream media. It boosted sales of her short lived solo series. I also think Scream was a better fit than just another female Venom. Because that‘s what that sequence is for MJ. It’s a SCREAM, a release of all her bottled up frustrations and feelings about her relationship with Peter, that forces the two of them to confront their failings and move past them together.

And yes, Insomniac’s portrayal of symbiotes could use a lot more nuance. But if they go through with Venom game, as they’ve talked about in interviews, that’d be the perfect opportunity to add more depth. Particularly since Harry’s story arc feels intentionally open-ended.

I guess for the context of the situation... yeah, Scream does fit in the fight, even though MJ does has a symbiotic form in one of the comics, but the context of her letting out her frustration as Scream on Peter and wooping his ass for 5 minutes, it's does fit in some aspects. Still... it is very odd how during the entire fight both him and her are fighting about how screwed their relationship really is, only for the end to say "Oh! It's the symbiote's fault that i am acting like this!"

So... what is it then? The symbiote is making you go Monkey mode? Or it's because you really feel like this towards Peter? The game does contradicts itself quite often about what sort of influece the symbiote has on the host and it is never clear.

I guess that could be one of the reasons of why the story is left in the open like that, if they are planning to go on full symbiote mode in the next game and maybe fix or address some of the weird things that happened in this game, we will see.

Spiderman 2 is a good game, but it falls short in comparason with it's predecesor i believe.

In a sense they did respect him, since Venom doesn't turn evil until he comes into contact with Peter's unstable mind.

Even so, I feel that the problem comes when the only solution that is literally given is to "get rid of it."

when even in current comics it has been seen that symbiotes can even lead their users to improve as people and accept their past sins

Apart from the fact that they are somewhat inconsistent with how much they can endure? I mean Scream dies at the touch, Venom is capable of binding even to Peter's DNA but not to Harry's and dies from the accelerator, and Anti-Venom is practically indestructible :/

Deep down I want to think that Scream did the same thing that Venom did with Peter (that is, leave part of him in his DNA)

and if Peter has Anti-venom, maybe Mj will become Silence seeing that the symbiote plot will continue thanks to the leaks

but I see the theme of Silence more as a dream than something that is plausible

I think with Peter it's because Venom was bonded to him for a few days. That's how there were traces of Venom left in him to later be made into Anti-Venom.

MJ had Scream for like half an hour, maximum. Besides, I have no clue how they could work Silence into this with Anti-Venom and Martin Li's powers vanished when Anti-Venom was created.

So yeah, I guess it is more of a dream than something plausible in the future but who knows what Insomniac has planned for the upcoming Venom game.
