Production Unit — Description

Despite her boyfriend’s warnings about how girls went into that place and never came out, Jill enjoyed her new job tending the experimental animals at PharmGen. But today, a new heifer needed branding. Jill hated to inflict pain on the creatures she thought of as pets.

The cow grunted, and squirmed eagerly in her milking harness, as Jill walked into Lab 5. Big, dark eyes looked up at her, expecting the usual grooming and massage.

“I’m sorry, baby,” Jill cooed, petting the animal’s curly head, “but I have to do this.” Today would be the last time she would see the heifer. Her milk output had reached production volume; and she would be transferred to the dairy.

Perhaps, thought Jill, she should have listened to her boyfriend. Maybe she didn’t have the right temperment to care for a living thing, and then just pack it off, like a piece of meat.

And he was right about one other thing: once you’re at PharmGen, there’s no turning back. If only he hadn’t secretly followed her here, to “rescue” her! When the guards discovered him in the high-security area, he was taken straight to the processing unit.

As she lifted the smoking iron from the raw brand on the cow’s buttock, a tear came to Jill’s eye.

“Bye, bye, honey,” she sobbed, gently stroking Eric’s huge udders. Now that you’re modified, we couldn’t make love, like we used to, anyway.”

“But don’t worry,” Jill added, “Where you’re going, there’s a pen full of nice, big bulls, ready to totally satisfy you!”
