her sacrifice... — Description
READ THIS IF U WANT A LARGER VIEW OR DOWNLOAD...

the eldest of the mermaid sisters, refusing to see her youngest sister perish due to her own foolishness, along with her other sisters went to the sea witch. they all gave up their beautiful long hair in exchange for a way to save their beloved sister...

and so they were given a blade, to be given to the little mermaid and used to kill the prince. but alas... she doesn't have the heart to commit such a cruel act...

thus, there is nothing else that she could do, but watch as her sister die in vain...

in sadness & anguish she watches as her sister slowly turns to sea foam, and a strange liquid trickled from her eyes. black as the night & thick as tar. it is said that mermaids cry without any tears, so what could this be? a mermaid's tears?

perhaps...

first time i add a story to my drawings... what do u think? sorry i couldn't make the sentences sound more beautiful, i guess it's not that easy when english is a second language...

we often c the little mermaid featured in many drawings, but it's not very often that the sisters were depicted... so i thought it would be a different take on the story... & the little mermaid have always been 1 of my fave fairy tales... ^^

this drawing was done on a good day, good weather & good mood... i actually inked this without making a single mistake...

so the only clean-up i did on this are just the dust & some tiny tiny ink leakages (which r only visible if u zoom in more than 500%)

so i am VERY happy with this drawing...

phew... hexagonal scales plus perspective... not an easy thing to do... so glad it turned out great... XD
