Description
An unidentified individual, better known as Officer Tate as the S.P.D. Red Ranger, was the first Ranger of the S.P.D. Earth Branch. He was active around 2009–2010. He is the father of Schuyler "Sky" Tate. He ultimately fell in battle at the hands of Mirloc while trying to save the citizens of the city from an attack.
In 2001, he was known to have worked alongside Dr. Kat Manx and the parents of the other S.P.D. B-Squad Rangers in helping to develop the Delta Morphers. However, Tate and his colleagues were exposed to several cellular enhancers, which altered their genes and later granted their children special abilities. He appears in the series Power Rangers S.P.D.
(I personally dislike the suit design that uses the Time Force Red costume with only slight modifications. Therefore, I redesigned it using a hybrid concept that combines elements from both the Time Force and S.P.D. suits. I also really like the idea of giving him the name Landon Tate.)
[MY FANS THEORY]
After the timeline changes involving the S.P.D. Rangers of 2040 and the events with the Dino Thunder Rangers, Adam Park and Aisha Campbell founded Space Patrol Alpha, which would later become the foundation of Space Patrol Delta. It is known that by the year 2023, this organization was already active and engaged in battles against the Troobian Empire. Because of these timeline changes, it is possible that this also affected him, leading to him becoming the Space Patrol Alpha Red Ranger.
