Reimupc98 — Description

getting back into touhou!!! since the fixation of love live passed (sort of) i need a new thing to think about. For some time it was my OCs, and now i'm slowly but surely getting back into touhou.
can you believe it's been 10 years since i've known this series? (i'm not that old yet! i was very young at the time)
i believe i learnt about touhou through videos of the "character vs character" caliber. though from my memory the touhou character they used was mostly sakuya. it was either animations, or mugen fights. i can't remember that well.
i then fell down the rabbit hole. i tried playing some of the games, and while failing horribly, i still had fun and wanted to learn more.
though i didn't know how to speak english at the time, so i knew like, nothing of the lore. it's a miracle i even managed to download the games or get past the main menu.

one of my fondest memories is when i was with my cousins on a car ride, in the back of the car. i had my laptop out and i had a couple of touhou games, but only the fighting ones, because i was too terrible at the regular bullet hell yet.
i turned on immaterial and missing power, and started playing with my cousins. we would play half and half - one person would be using the directional arrows to move, and the other would be using the action buttons.
i distinctly remember us yelling "down down v!" when we could use a spell card. i don't know if that was the actual combination to use them, since we were actually just mashing the buttons, but it was fun regardless.
i no longer have contact with those cousins, unfortunately.

this is why i've decided to revisit my childhood game, which i knew nothing about, and try to actually get what's happening in these games. wish me luck!
