"Be quiet and pay attention! Prey isn't going to catch itself, Bumblebee!" Prowl agitatedly growled at his restless companion. Why had Optimus paired him up with Bumblebee, of all cats, to go on hunting patrol with? With his yapping mouth, there wouldn't be prey for miles around!

The yellow pelted cat stopped meowing about what he and Sari had down the other day and glared at the ShadowClan warrior before falling into an uneasy silence. Prowl breathed out a sigh of relief and opened his mouth to scent some prey, but could find nothing but the stale scent of Twolegs and dog. A pair of Twolegs must have been walking their dog in the park that morning.

Ears back with frustration, Prowl was about to suggest that they head towards the Twoleg gardens when Bumblebee suddenly let out a yowl.

"Look! It's a giant rabbit!"

Prowl whirled around to look at where Bee's nose was pointing, but was suddenly caught by surprise when Bumblebee pounced on him and playfully took hold of his ear. His blue eyes were gleaming with playful delight.

"Caught him!" Bumblebee murmured through a mouthful of ear. Prowl wasn't amused in the slightest. "You know, for a cat you have really big ears?"

"Get off of me!" Prowl snarled, shoving the younger cat off and swatting him across the muzzle with a paw. He bared his fangs and growled, "What do you think you are? An apprentice? We're supposed to be hunting, not playing around like kits!"

Bumblebee quickly scuffled back, eyes wide with fear and anger; he curled his tail close to his body and he meowed in a hurt voice. "Sorry, I just wanted to have some fun with you. Too bad you never want to have fun." He turned away from Prowl and miserably began to pad away to hunt somewhere else.

A sudden prickle of shame and guilt crawled through the dark-furred cat as he watched Bumblebee's tiny figure pad away. Before he could stop himself, he let out a yowl.

"Look out for that little mouse up ahead!"

Bumblebee's head jerked up in surprise. "Where?" he meowed, turning his head this way and that to locate the piece of prey. He let out a cry of shock when he felt something bite on to his tail. Bumblebee twisted his head around and his jaw fell open in suprise to see his tail trapped in the jaws of Prowl.

"Caught it!" Prowl meowed, a large smirk spread across his whiskered face.
