Description
"I've always felt safe in the arms of the devil." ~Stacy Palumbo • Grendel: Devil Child
It was this specific moment that would change the life of Tsubasa Hanekawa and Black Hanekawa forever. After being saved by Grendel from the resurfaced Kako tiger, she knew this man was brutally savage in battle but he also saved her. Based om what he told her before, he had lost twice of what she lost, suffered greatly just as her...but he never reproached that to her nor simplified her tragedies. To him, all personal losses were equal in their pain. He was a kindred spirit...
When the devil was to depart from her world, she stopped him, unsure of why she did it. Curiosity? Intrigue? A puppy crush? Or just the fact that after being all alone in the darkness for 15 years, she finally found a kindred spirit she could call a friend?
He asked why she stopped him, to which she replied she didn't want to be alone anymore. Her previous bonds collapsed after being abandoned for so long. Without her former friends and her family and home gone...there was nothing left in her world for her to remain.
He understood, but he also warned her that his task was no joyride. He was to go through various worlds and times in order to exact revenge against any corrupted soul out there. She understood this but didn't backed away. With a sigh, Grendel nodded. But to go with the devil means to accept a deal with him.
He would allow her to join him in his quest, but she would have to kill those he judges guilty. In return, he would give her everything to survive. He would train her to be one of the deadliest beings in the multiverse, he would give her the chance to release almost two decades of anger and hate against those who deserve it. But most importantly, he gave her a home. Someone to always come back too.
She found a new home and a new friend...and she would tear down heaven and hell to keep him with her. Thus...a lost cat was found and saved by the devil.
