Petrifying Touch — Description
"Good afternoon, my lady," said the servant as she bowed before her queen. "What can I do for you?"

Queen Nafrini looked down at the servant and smirked. "You are quite lovely."

"Thank you, my lady," said the servant, confused by this remark.

The queen continued grinning. "Yes, you'd make an excellent statue."

"My-my lady!" exlaimed the servant.

"Give me a good reason why I should not turn you to stone right now, and I might change my mind," said the queen, her expression still locked in a smirk.

"I...um...I was in the kitchen staff last week! Remember? Y-you remarked that the roast you had last Tuesday was the most delicious you ever had. I helped prepare it!" The servant, still on her knees from bowing, waved her arms as she plead her case. "And uh...your robes! The new robes you ordered! I was part of the team you sent to find the purple flowers to create the dye for your robes! Do you not love them, my lady! Please!"

Nafrini's expression did not waver, nor did it waver as the servant continued her pleas for the next few minutes. At last, as the servant continued her case, the queen calmly raised her hand and touched the servant on the nose and let her magic do its work. The truth, of course, was that no reason was good enough to save the poor girl from her fate. After all, Nafrini could afford to spend a few subjects here and there on her amusement: she had an entire kingdom to do her bidding.

So, you may be asking yourself "Don't you already have an evil queen character who petrifies her servants?" Yes, indeed I have Queen Seraphina, but the world could always use more evil queens and I like the desert queen look, so enter Queen Nafrini! There are a few other differences in their characters other than looks as well. Queen Seraphina uses petrification as punishment: it's her way of ruling with an iron fist to ensure that nobody messes with her. Queen Nafrini uses her magic simply because she's bored and finds it fun. In other words, while Seraphina turned her servant into a footstool because the servant showed up late to work, Nafrini would turn her servant into a footstool because she wants a footstool. Nafrini also inherently has magic as opposed to Seraphina who uses her basilisk to do her bidding, and Nafrini isn't limited to petrification or transformations. I could always use her for other pieces including quicksand stuff, which is part of the fun of being in the desert.

So, now you may be saying "So basically, you just made an evil twisted Mary Sue," to which I say "bingo."
