Absolutely brilliant scene. I LOVE the trope of the news reporter looking for a story only to become the story—complete with a peril that puts her in the position of damsel in distress. That gag looks so efficient. Ain’t no way that girl is talking through that. Her expressions are just marvelous, especially when she goes wide eyed when the bladed tentacle thing hovers in front of her beautiful gagged face.

Definitely the reporter trope is a top one. Particularly when the reporter is as lovely as Terry Farrell.
I also love the failure element that she would be feeling in this situation. That she has fallen into the trap of those that she was investigating.
Also works with the young cop who decides to investigate by herself or the new assistant district attorney.
I do enjoy the set up in these stories when someone tells our damsel not to trust anyone and then it is the person who says that who is behind the situation.

It's definitely gotta be in the top ten. I remember exactly how I felt when I saw this scene as a teen for the first time when it came out! Apparently Clive had a thing for BDSM stuff and pounced this scene on her unexpectedly at the last minute, she had no idea she was going to do this scene.
