“Perverted Monster! You shall pay for your evils this day. How dare you sully the Lasso of Hestia with the depths of your depravity! No woman should be bound against her will. Let alone compelled to lay down with one they have not taken as a suitor. How does it feel vermin! To have the tables turned on you now? To be strung up as a helpless victim, against your will!”

“Urk!...ca...can’t breathe…<COUGH!>”

“Then perhaps you do not deserve another breath. I should escort you through the gates of Tartarus myself! Instead now feel my vengeance upon you.”

<CRACK!!>

“Arghh!!!...My hand!...You’re crushing it!!”

“Yes, I am. And if the Gods will it, you shall never again use it to commit an evil act. Listen to my words! The lasso compels you. You are forbidden to use your ring on any of us. And you will pay for all the foul deeds you have committed. I shall make sure of that!”

“Wonder Woman…”

“Save your words Batman. The manner of this one’s punishment I will determine myself. Concentrate instead on getting Batgirl safely out of here…”

As Bruce looked on the scene unfolding before him he briefly considered updating Diana on the situation. When the signal had been blocked, and Wonder-Woman awoke from her enforced obedience, she naturally assumed that Sinestro had been controlling her with the lasso he had wrapped around her. And with her great speed and strength she had reversed the situation, before Sinestro had even realised what was happening. The confusion caused by her sudden actions was certainly enough of a distraction for him to fell Poison Ivy as well. But then perhaps Wonder Woman’s anger would be useful here. That was the smart strategy. For Sinestro was far too dangerous a foe to run loose.

“<Sigh!> Very well. Batgirl…Lean on me. What you and Catwoman have been subjected to will have had quite an effect on your system. So it’s best to get you out of here, to somewhere where you can properly recuperate. Wonder Woman’s superhuman physique will have already shaken off the effects. So she can certainly mop up these two. And from what I hear over the comlinks it sounds like the source of this barbaric operation is now being shut down as well. So I’ll make certain that our allies know what’s happening here.”

“Ohh!…I don’t understand Br…Batman. I don’t remember anything. Why am I wearing a collar? Was this Ivy’s doing? Did….did she have us under her spell once more? With her poisonous chemicals? Is that why my head hurts so much?”

“It’s a long story Batgirl. And we can get into it back at the Batcave. But in the meantime…Selina! Give me your hand. You’re almost as much of a victim here, as my team-mates were. So let’s get you out of here as well. It looks like everything’s well in hand.”
