Transformers IDW: Rubywing — Description
I will not rest until I have created a counterpart of Rubywing to every goddamn Transformers media out there

When reading this BIO please keep in mind my knowledge of the IDW comics are very limited as I have a long way to go before I finish them. The info I have is sparse and mainly Starscream-focused. At the end of the day this is an AU so not everything has to add up hahahaha.

Comments are always appreciated! ♥

Backstory:
Rubywing was created early on into Starscream's rule over Cybertron, manufactured by a team of scientists using Starscream's CNA to clone a sparkling. No one has managed to pry out why he'd order something like that, some speculate it's a scheme to make sure his rule remains in the future, even if he's not the one wearing the crown, while others think the battle worn Seeker wanted some form of companionship that wouldn't end up crashing and burning.

Rubywing grew quickly, and soon her traits inherited from Starscream shone through, for better or for worse. Even if she was rarely far away from her father and met up with many political faces and friends (such as Windblade, her godfather Knockout and his husband Breakdown, Rattrap, and more), she was still very ignorant of what Starscream was really up to, and just how chaotic things were on Cybertron. Thankfully though, she still had the innocence of a young spark, and maintained friendly relationships to most of those surrounding her and her father.

Sheltered within the safety of Starscream's settlement in Iacon, she watched the world move and change beyond her reach, leading to her growing more and more worried about her own role in the world. She did not understand this inner struggle herself, and much like Starscream's struggles manifesting in the open whether he was aware of it or not; so did hers. While one of Starscream's issues manifested in him switching frames often, Rubywing attempted to do the same, although not for the same reasons. She tried to adapt her frame to match his, and her demeanour escalated to match his. She was desperately trying to walk in his shoes, she was desperately trying to be what she thought she was supposed to be; another Starscream.

It was a struggle Starscream sadly barely noticed, believing it only to be Rubywing mimicking him as kids do, as he was too caught up into his own problems and chaos. Those around them, such as Windblade and Knockout, noticed the change in the sparkling, but were uncertain of how to address it.

Eventually things only got worse and worse as Starscream seemed to have a never ending supply of trouble to put himself and others in. Rubywing was still safe, and still ignorant of just how bad things were. But it all came to an end the day Starscream admitted to his crimes, and was sentenced to life in imprisonment for it. It broke Rubywing's heart, leaving her even more lost than she already was. It was a hard time for everyone involved to watch the sparkling react to it all. At the end having people around her who had been there ever since she was a protoform to support and give her love gave her the the strength she needed.

Rubywing remains within Iacon, still protected under the council as the people of Cybertron enters a new age. She's allowed to visit her father in jail, and spends a lot of her time there. This time has given the two the chance to bond properly, and Rubywing has begun to find herself. Starscream wishes he could be out in the free with her, but at least he is glad he is still alive to watch her grow...
