Heroes who were originally normal people before they would gain powers that made stronger, faster, and overall more powerful (Richard got his Nova Helmet and Lilith got her Siren powers, respectively), they would be connected to a group of powerful beings that all have the same resemblance to one another (Nova core which all had the Nova Armor and Sirens who all have markings on them, respectively), they would be the main one of their series until other people of the same group would show up (Sam Alexander became a Nova member and Other sirens like Maya would join them, respectively).

Their abilities make them strong but with them have connections to past users of their abilities (Nova Force connects all Nova Past & Present and the Phase connects all Sirens, respectively), they would be in an area where they were trapped thanks to a sacrifice they made (Richard was trapped in the cancer verse and Lilith was in the Phase Dimension, respectively).

The abilities they gained were given to them thanks to someone dying and their abilities being passed onto them, they would at first struggle with their abilities and eventually join a small team where they would be heroes (New Warriors and Vault Hunters, respectively), they would be connected to an influential hero/villain who worked with in the past and helped cause issues that were still in effect now (Penance/Speedball who unknowingly caused the problems of Civil War and Handsome Jack who caused the issues on Pandora, respectively).

Both would be apart of a galaxy wide group that is meant to protect others (Nova Core and Crimson Raiders, respectively), they were influential members within their groups and eventually became the leaders of said group, unfortunately, those groups would fade out of existence and die after they lost everything (the Nova core was destroyed and the Crimson Raiders was disbanded after being taken down, respectively).

Both would be connected to a small team that grew over time where they would do the same jobs as their last team (Guardians of the Galaxy and Crimson Resistance, respectively), they would know the leaders of the groups as they worked with them in the past and despite having issues with them they would help each other (Claptrap and Star Lord, respectively).

They would face off against powerful enemies who have the power to absorb energy like there’s and kill off people like them (Annihilus and Tyreen Calypso, respectively), their enemies would cause the deaths of those who were close to them (Annihilus killed the Nova Core and Troy killed Maya, respectively), they would use their own armies to take them out and other powerful attacks to kill then but failed with them being stopped (Richard killing Annihilus by ripping out his insides and Lilith stopping Tyreen’s moon fall by stopping the moon entirely, respectively).

Over time they would receive a new nickname that connects to their powers (Nova Prime and Firehawk, respectively), they would become mentors to others.
