Description
The Reus is a two seated city car. It is designed mainly for city driving and short trips to country side or golf course. A comfort and stable ride is one of the main factors for pleasure ride. With its compact size ( width - 1800 mm, length 3500 mm, height 1000 mm) the car is very maneuverable and comfortable in city conditions. The low suspension and low center of gravity gives us an extreme stability in corners when we want to feel some adrenaline rush. The central mounted engine gives a perfect balance between front and rear axel. A high torque in low RPM delivered by the propulsion system promotes an extreme acceleration.
The low profile of the car lowers the wind resistant that gives us fuel economy and higher high-speed. A specially designed rear end combined with the aerodynamic shape of the body will give us the down force to keep the car stable on the road even at very high speeds.
The construction of the body is designed for maximum strength with minimum mass. A special aluminum space frame is placed over the body and also is used like a roll cage to protect the passenger in extreme conditions. The composite panels cover the entire body to reduce the mass of construction without compromise of strength. The entire body is made from very few details which will reduce the assembly time and will simplify the process. A possibility to use almost only recycled materials will improve the efficiently of the car.
The other factor which will improve the Reus is the fact that the car is driven mainly by electric power. We all know how important is to use a restorable energy sources as much as possible. The propulsion system contains a four cylinder small size bio diesel engine combined with high power electric motor which also is used like generator when the car goes down hills or is in "Charge mode", when we are in place where is no access to the electric network. Both the bio diesel engine and the electric motor can run together to produce high torque when is needed , or to be separated or skipped when this is possible. The extra electromagnetic brakes are installed on all wheels and are used to transform the braking energy into electric and charge the batteries. Using the electromagnetic brakes to stop quick from high speed also gives the advantage of smooth braking and saves resource of the conventional brake system which is used only at low speed.
The highly efficient triple head lights provide a good visibility in night or in extreme whether conditions. The rear lights design makes the car to have individual look on the road. Small cameras are mounted into side view mirrors of the car and at top of the car. A big front wind shield also increases visibility.

It's like a Koenigsegg had sex with a Bugatti Veyron, and this is the result.

Absolutely not.
It is a Vector W2/W8/WX "clone", modernised and sleeked up.

Fair. It's just that the original posting seems to have a...what's the descriptor I'm looking for...more rounded profile? Like a Koenig or a Bugatti.

Yes, there are a few ...
Naaaah... .
Here, other Vectors:
k specifically at the M12, WX3 and the WX8.
Save for a more exaggerated "wing" line, all is in there. Β Β :)
Then there is the one I posted secondly:
The WX8 HPRV, which already features those more exaggerated "wing" line.
And even more then:
Bugatti and the likes took the wedge snout from?
Yup, Wiegert, Vector.
But hey, we are in a period of imaginary stagnation.
All cars look alike, save for a few oddities like Lamborghini that manages to always surprise us with new ideas (which get used then by others, as usual).
And most ideas in car creation are used in some way, by someone.
However, Wiegert was a genius, in a time of genius, sadly, it was the bad era:
Oil prices were up, material prices were up, people were less rich, not a time to make the first Hypercars ever!!!
Then there was his FAR too soon for the time taste:
He introduced Aerodynamica for cars (not kidding, look it up).
Digital dashboards.
Use of Kevlar, Carbon, ... , which on themselves are even NOW darn expensive (just by a carbon fiber body for your car, see for yourself) and whatnot.
He took his car towards Star Trek, in an era "of ape".
Which further stomped the prices up ...
He had no choice though.
Time would not stand still for him either, so, it was going for it, or never be known.
Not to mention, he had a car on the drawing board with shortened "snout" or front ... .
But the then engine types sizes did not allow for this, so it was put on hold until it could.
V6 then was not powerful enough for his taste (know that he tuned a V8 Chevy block that out-powered the Lambo and Ferarri V12's!!!!!).
Geralt Wiegert recently died, but the legacy left by him, and the US being the absolute very first to build a HYPERCAR put him, for me at least, and I am BELGIAN, on the list of the most pure genius ever.
There's not one car out there, that does not use in some form, Wiegert technology or idea ... .
And to prove what I said:
The Big Names (Lambo, Ferarri, ...) cound not even remotely compete with his cars, speed and acceleration wise ... .
I believe, that's just all-saying? Β ;)

Wow, another great job from Sqwall. At first, I was quite that impressed (as itβs not much in my taste of cars) but there were a few details which I loved. Firstly, I love the exhaust on this one. You really got it right. Secondly, I love the headlights. They look very futuristic (to a certain degree) and are nice and large, with a βsuper carβ look to them. You really nailed it on those two parts.
Now, as for the body of the car itself, Iβm not much into it. Look toβ¦chubby and small. I suppose that it suits its purpose well, but just isnβt that βsportyβ, even with all the vents and other aerodynamic features.
Overall, I like the car, but itβs defiantly my favorite of all your designs. Nice work though.

I have tried to make a cool studio render. And after the render I used Photoshop to get authentic film like appearance and grain.

Hey Sqwall, i saw your other car that you have here on dA in a swedish carmagazine, amazingly cool!
This one is great too, reminds me of the Lamborghini Gallardo.
Good luck!
