Thanks to my brother purchasing all three books of Avatar: The Last Airbender on DVD and my boyfriend's desire to watch every single dvd, i got into this series again i had forgotten how much i liked it ^^ Hence the inspiration to draw Appa, those few episodes where he was separated from Aang made me so sad

But jesus this took longer than expected O.o i spent over an hour fiddling with the colours of the lines for crying out loud

And apples are hard to shade and highlight!

Done on Photoshop CS3, not sure how many hours
