Description At first I thought.. "What a huge mosquito!"

But this crane fly wouldn't budge on my ceiling wall for days. I thought the glow from my lamp offered a nice, warm hue.

as far as i know, it's actually a male mosquito. those small ones that bite are always females. these big ones are males, are more rare, and dont feed on human blood.

Okay, I think there are species/hybrids that I've never heard of! And recently I've been finding bugs I never thought actually existed. It's very alienating.

Is it a crane mosquito? Looks more like a Mosquito Hawk...
But... uhh... *tries to look normal* It's a great shot, wonderful focus and lighting. Something about it really draws you in.
