Top Row
*Robin Hood (actually Kevin Costner as Robin Hood) - I grew up on tales of heros and brave men and damsels in distress and I adore the film Prince of Thieves. Therefore Kevin Costner is always going to be my Robin Hood. (Though his Marion sucks!)

*The Last Unicorn - I think I drove my parents mad with this film. The music, the art style, the story - everything you need to keep a toddler occupied over and over and over again. I still love this film and I think it's from this that I began my love of magic, more heros and unicorns.

Second Row
*Dragon (Draco from Dragon Heart) - I loved this film too. And I adore dragons. And Sean Connery as Draco is how I imagine most of my older male dragons to sound.

*Merlin (Sam Neill) - Magic. Arthurian legends. 'Nuf said.

Third Row
*Han's Bremmen "The Stone and the Flute" - this was an old book when I read it and I still love it. It's long, it's an epic, it charts the growth of a young man into a wise man. I want to write fiction like this.

*Ed Greenwood's "Falconfar" series - firstly, I love the art on these books and I want to try and draw like that. Secondly, they are amazing books with a world that seems almost real. Again, I want to write stuff like this!

*Firefly - my original sci-fi series fix.

*Lian Hearn "Tales of the Otori" series - I love historic oriental/chinese culture and these books inspire.

*Tamora Pierce "Song of the Lioness Quartet" series - Medieval style fantasy. Amazing characters. Relaxing and yet gripping. I love these books.

* Wright of Derby "The Experiment" - a beautiful painting full of little details and an amazing play with light. Saw this in the National Art Gallery in London and fell in love with it.

*Starwars IV, V, VI - grew up on these. I'm a sci-fi romantic at heart.

*Kingdom of Heaven - templars, medieval setting. Add a pinch of magic and this looks familiar.

*Waterhouse "Lady of Shallot" - so sad, yet my favourite of the pre Raphelite painters.
