within the fortification walls, a further ring of defenses and facilities are in place.
prefabricated modular buildings that are able to serve a variety of roles and purposes are typically placed in order to provide for the garrison. besides basic Barracks buildings with in-built latrines, Field Hospitals and Mess facilities are included for on-site food and medical needs. storage structures allow acquisition of long-term supplies, and hygenic facilities such as showers are also in place. Food storage comes in the form of pre-loaded containers that can be dropped off and removed as needed. the same goes for rubbish disposal and water tanks.
command centers with communications form the core of the facility, overseeing the disposition of personnel and overall command, while maintaining contact with orbiting fleet assets and other garrison blocks.
Field Power Generators provide energy, with backup Solar Panels on the barrack roofs providing emergency batteries.

Fuel, munitions and other volatile wares are securely stored in underground bunkers, while a well-stocked motor pool and shop facility keeps transport and equipment operational.

heavy automated defenses provide close-quarters support, particularly against Aircraft incursions.
