Butterfly DA Tutorial — Description

I absolutely LOVED the tutorial by @BonnySnowdonAcademy ! I've used colored pencils my whole life just for fun. Bonny had some really great tips and tricks and advice that was really helpful; especially with shading and blending. This is my result from that tutorial. As Bonny stated, it's not necessarily about the quality of the pencils and paper. I use very cheap pencils and paper, but I still very much like the result of my attempt.
My reference was an old shot of a male Monarch Butterfly. On the back wings, there is a dark spot near the body. Science is still unsure of the purpose of those specialized scales is on the males.
