H.U #1242 was part of the A.R.K training program which was a program dedicated to making cybernetic soldiers and spies for the world government. Most of the solders in this program were female as it was determined that a relatively smaller body would not only make a soldier more stealthy but it would also make them more agile. In the A.R.K program #1242 was designated the title B.E.T.00395 and after her training was transformed into a cybernetic super soldier. They had removed essentially everything replacing it with cybernetics including her limbs and entire torso as well as her organs, bones, and skull. Artificial skin was melded over her new cybernetic body in order to make her look less suspicious. The only human part of her now was her brain, spine, and one of her eyes as it was tradition to leave one of a cyborgs eye's unchanged as a sign of humanity. B.E.T.00395 was at first compliant with her job and served in the world government's battalion as a spy for 15 years though as she did she slowly became more doubtful of her job. After a particular mission where she was sent to destroy what she was told was a warehouse storing bombs she ended up finding it was not a warehouse but a hospital. After this incident she abandoned her position and went off grid. While off grid she found a village of people living deep in a jungle, she decided to join them and live amongst the people. She found out the many things that had to be done to sustain a village and learned the importance of preserving life. The village people were accepting of her too and taught her their traditions and culture. One thing she adopted from their culture was a name, she never really had a name as soldiers like her were always treated like products rather than people. She decided on the name Betty. She would live happily with the village for a few years until eventually world government soldiers showed up at the village. She knew they were there for her and not wanting anything to happen to the villagers she decided to just hand herself over. She was taken to a world government base and stripped of her robotic limbs as well as having her mouth covered and her hearing prosthetic turned off. She was then suspended in a gravity vat for interrogation.
