Anyways, I've been watching this group for quite a while. Having left PMDUnity since I wasn't doing anything there, I've always wanted to join a feral pokemon group. So I waited patiently for job slots to open and it happened woop /o/

I've never written so much information in so long, or ever really. Because wow that's a lot of info. And I should stop writing all this on OneNote first, because copying that to here caused so many problems I had to fix hhhhhhh

But yeah, meet Terrence the scared blind bat \o\

|| Personality ||
Terrence is a rather awkward 'mon, one who doesn't really know how to act around others. He uses flight rather than fight in about 100% of all tense situations he's in. Gets frightened easily if that wasn't obvious. The Zubat is overly cautious, always thinking before he acts. While he tries to be the mediator in arguments as he's no fan of conflict, his small stature and shaky demeanor have proven those attempts futile.

He's actually pretty okay when everything is calm. Raised with proper etiquette, Terrence is polite. The Zubat doesn't want to be on anyone's bad side, not only because he's afraid of what that would result in but also because he would like a friend or two. Someone who didn't mind his stuttering or lack of a backbone or tendency to hide away when things get stressful for him. He wouldn't mind lending a helping hand if it didn't conflict with his common sense.
Overall he tries his best to be friendly, but his shakiness and fearfulness doesn't help at all.
|| History ||
Terrence was born into a wealthy family, having a knight for a father and a magician for a mother. While they weren't well-known, they did stand out as a sort of 'power couple'. Husband and wife who served the king for all that is good. Ever since he was young, his parents wanted him to follow their footsteps to join the guard. To fight for their kingdom and protect it. That, and admittedly the pay was great. The Zubat didn't want to however. His bravery was severely lacking and he thought going into battle would be really dangerous since he was blind. He always refused their training, opting to fly to wherever his wings took him instead.
Flying. One of the very few things he could actually do right. Even with his lack of sight, all it took was echolocation to know exactly where he was. When to take a hard left. When to fly higher. When to duck under. This was when he felt like he knew what he was doing. He felt... Confident. Some days he did think about joining the guard, with a different position from his parents of course. But then the thought of putting himself in dangerous situations came into his mind, resulting in him just pushing out the option. No, he won't do it. He can't.

A few years have passed, and Terrence's mother has retired, wanting to give her children the attention they needed while her husband was still working. She taught the Zubat's sister her ways of magic. Unlike Terrence, the Woobat was actually excited to learn. So with his father away from home most of the time and his mother focused on his sister, yes, the Zubat was ignored a bit. He wasn't saddened by this though, oh no. Quite the opposite really. He wanted to cheer his little sister on, give her a confidence boost that he himself rarely has. The more important thing to him though was that his parents respected his decision. They stopped pushing him, and he felt great about that fact. Little did he knew that he would change his mind so easily however.
Late in the afternoon someone came to their home. A knight with a pained expression on his face, holding his helmet under his arm. MIA. Missing in action. That was what his family were told when it came to Terrence's father. He was supposed to head to a village to guard it against the invasions it had been getting. Never came back, and he along with others from the guard have never been found. Needless to say they were all devastated, Terrence especially. Even if he didn't want to be a knight, the Zubat looked up to his father nonetheless. A Crobat with high morals, fighting for what was right. Now no one knew where he was. And the small Zubat felt the need to find him.

He asked, practically begged the knight to let him help somehow. He didn't want to stay idle while his father and other 'mon were Arceus knows where. Before he knew it this sudden act of bravery landed him in the guard. All his life he avoided joining the best he could. Too dangerous, he could get hurt, even die. And yet, now he was here, training as an apprentice alongside his sister. Still afraid of involving himself in conflict, he joined the messengers, hoping to one day find out anything about his father while delivering letters.

|| Roleplay Example ||
It was a beautiful day out. Sun shining, birds singing, not a single cloud in the sky. Such a shame Terrence couldn't marvel at it all, blind or no. He was too busy escaping. He soared at top speed, using Aerial Ace not to harm anyone but as a means to distance himself from his aggressor. Behind him was a rugged Aerodactyl, his sheer size easily dwarfing the tiny Zubat. "G-g-go away! I d-did not s-sign up for this!" the bat cried, zig-zagging in the air in hopes to confuse the large being. Sure he could just use Supersonic, but that would mean he'd have to stop, letting the Aerodactyl catch up to him. The odds of that move actually being successful were not in his favour either. So Terrence just kept flying, hoping he could find someone below who would help him.
