Beach Time — Description

June's finally here, time to hit the beach!

Even though it's still cold, cloudy and dull where I am, I wanted to draw something summery to get me into the seasonal mood and to forget about the weather. Something a little more tropical...huh? Shame we almost never have any of that here.

I opted for a postcard-like drawing, complete with a "Wish you were here!" message of SodaDog relaxing on a beach towel, winking to the fourth wall for pure comedic effect.

This is a sort-of "revisit" of the drawing from two years ago, except a bit more in-depth to fit with my current style. I also updated SodaDog's beach outfit to make it look more like swiimwear in case if he wants to play in the nearby ocean or pool.

I wanted to keep this simple, yet detailed enough. In my opinion, others should start picking colours from GTA timecycles because they have some of the best sunsets and sunrises, especially in SkyGFX flavours...trails and all. I had so much trouble with what the sun should be like; I did not want to go for faux-CG gradient nor something too simple or slapdash because it'd take away from the "cel painted style" I'm opting for.

My computer BSOD'd at the beginning of linearting this. While I luckily didn't lose anything, I had to remap my tablet from scratch as the driver apparently broke. This got me worried about losing everything depsite having backups.
