HEEEYYYYY IT'S STORY TIME WITH SNOWS!   Before I get to that tho, I was really inspired to continue this: www.deviantart.com/snowfall-13… .

from this awesome art fight from Gosh here: www.deviantart.com/gosh-heck/a…

I was going to do it anyways but didn’t have time, but now I did! ((I wish I had my core back...I miss putting images here....SIGHS.)) Don't have enough energy to try to get points, I also said I would take a break due to Art Fight, but those of you who know me, know that I tend to get an idea and draw anyways…making my already sore shoulder more sore but I can't help it LOL but to be fair this took me like....3-4 days in-between doing things for ArtFight so..... SUE ME! x'D I worked on it slowly, and fixed a lot of details, like I forgot all about his scars LOL

Anyways,  I loved how Gosh did the Northern lights and the clouds, and I was trying to recreate that a little bit, which I had a hard time with like the last one in I See You LOL!!! So that was really fun and relaxing!

NOW IT'S TIME FOR A STORY! Have some Angst! x33 ((Minor language in here i.e cussing))

I sighed, sitting and staring at the Northern Lights. It’s been about two weeks now since I’ve done this. I didn’t keep my promise to him, so I’m making up for my absence by watching the lights from the roof of Fire heart once more. I was lucky, the lights were really beautiful and clear tonight! I'll take any opportunity to see the sky again. I’ll watch a little longer, in the freezing cold, without my protective winter gear and nothing but my thermal turtleneck and my thermal long-sleeved shirt underneath. Even with two layers of thermal fabric, the cold was starting to nip at my skin, especially my hands, the cold was going through my gloves. Sighing, I released my breath in one big white cloud, before coughing immediately due to the cold air. Another gust of wind tore through me as I continued to watch the light show above my eyes, feeling a few more tears stream down my cheeks. I screamed to Colton again like usual, but even more so now since I was even more frustrated at work. Nothing seemed to be going right, so this was a nice break from the monotony of repairs. The sky was so beautiful, how I WISHED I could see the sky during the day again! I remember the blue shade, the white clouds, they weren’t grey or black and constantly dumping snow on the ground. I remember swimming in the river with Colton and Harland and the sun was setting with the sky lighting up in beautiful tones of reds, yellows, and oranges…it was…just beautiful.  I could feel the tears freezing to my face, and my nose was starting to go numb. I better head in.

“I’ll see you again sometime soon, Colton. Have a good night!” I whispered, my voice was a bit shot.

I coughed again. I’m starting to get sick from all these trips to the roof, my chest feels heavy. The colors were beginning to fade as new storm clouds were rolling in. I carefully got up, pushing myself off the frozen roof tile. I noticed more snow had collected on the roof floor, making the area more treacherous to cross to get back to the entrance. I was about to take a step forward, before alarms suddenly blared! I covered my ears and screamed, jumping and having a heart attack! The noise was deafening, and the once orange lights surrounding the roof were now blazing red! OH NO! OH SHIT! THIS IS BAD! The alarms only blare if there’s an extreme blizzard warning, a SNOW SQUALL! THESE STORMS ARE DEADLY! Snow Squalls brought tons of snow, high winds, ghastly white out conditions, extreme cold, freezing rain, or all of the above! These storms can come with little to no warning! FireHeart usually sounds the alarms to keep people inside, and to warn the rest of the city to get indoors immediately. Think of a Snow Squall warning as a Tornado Warning, when the sirens blare to alert the city and people to seek shelter, although the days of Tornados and Thunderstorms are long gone. All entrances and exits to FireHeart will lock within three minutes!

“SHIT! SHIT! SHIT! COLTON HELP ME! DON’T LET THEM LOCK ME OUT!” I screamed as I started to run full speed back towards the front door, not even caring there was a thick sheet of ice below my boots. The alarms continued to scream, echoing out to the city of Bismarck. If anyone was outside during a squall, survival was minimal. I tried picking up the pace, but something suddenly grabbed me from behind!

Screaming, I fell backwards on my back to the icy rooftop, and there was someone, or something, now on top of me! Did snow fall on me?! Did I slip on ice?! NO…it felt like hands! Someone was up here with me! Someone was trying to pin me down! I looked up to see there was a big black shadow on top of me, the fading Northern Lights were not providing me with enough light to see who they were, but yet our clothing was still glowing with blue and green hues.

“GET OFF ME!” I roared, not knowing what else to say. They only pinned me down harder, trying to hold my wrists together, they even peeled off my gloves! Dick move, bro! I bucked and kicked, until I managed to somehow launch this heavy person off of me! Thank you, adrenaline!

Whoever they were, they were heavy, and large, and it felt like they had super thick snow gear on, something I need right now more than ever. The alarms continued to wail, louder and louder! I’m running out of time! Taking another breath and scrambling to my feet, I made a beeline for the green metal door, my only sanctuary back into the warmth of FireHeart! My ears were throbbing. I heard the THUMP THUMP THUMP of frantic footsteps behind me, the wind was becoming faster, stronger! The snow was coming down in sheets, I could barely see the door! My face felt like it was melting off. It was so cold! The temperature had dropped! The Snow Squall was nearly here! I took a last look at the fading lights, the evil clouds were concealing them once more. I felt hands grab at my thermal turtleneck again, yanking me backwards!

“LET GO OF ME! COLTON! PLEASE HELP!! HELP ME!!” I wailed louder straining my voice further. Why am I calling out for him?! He’s not here anymore to help me…all because of me. It was my fault…my FAULT.  I managed to elbow the person, which threw them back, but WHY were they after me?! WHO WAS UP HERE?! I AM THE ONLY ONE OUT OF LIKE, TEN PEOPLE WITH A SET OF KEYS TO THE ROOF! A large gust of wind knocked us over. They screamed, I screamed, what the hell was going on?! Snow was flying off the roof entrance as the wind roared in.

With a last burst of strength and speed I got up off the icy ground, the alarms ever deafening. I reached the door at last! My hands were nearly frozen! I reached into my right snow pants pocket with my frozen fingers to grab my keycard to unlock the door. I found it, and pulled it out. I scanned the card over the reader, but the light was flashing red! IT WAS LOCKED! NO! I kept scanning it, over, and over, and over, but it wasn't working! I grabbed a hold of the big black handle with my already horribly scarred left hand. The cold metal burned my skin right away, the nerves I had left in that hand anyways. I scanned the card and pulled on the door. Nothing.

“COME ON! OPEN!!”

I nearly dropped my key card due to my hands freezing further. My beard was frozen stiff, and it was getting harder to blink my eyes due to the ice building up on my lashes. I recovered the keycard, thanks to it being hooked on a lanyard that was attached to the belt of my brown snow pants. I glanced behind me to see the large shadow was fighting against the wind, slowly they were coming towards me! I kept frantically scanning my card and trying to yank the door open at the same time.

“COLTON! HELP!!” I howled, more tears were freezing to my face as I yanked on the door as hard as I could while scanning my card simultaneously.

Almost as if it was divine intervention, with a FOOM, the door finally unlocked with a burst of warm air, and I rushed inside, ripping my hand and some of the palm of my skin off the frozen handle. I slammed the door shut behind me, leaving whoever was after me…outside in the squall. I could still hear the alarms, but they were a bit quieter inside. I coughed hard, my lungs not used to the warm air. I was trembling, I can't feel any of my fingers. Wait… am I just leaving this person out for dead?! I can’t do that…even if they were trying to pin me down! Quickly I opened the door, again, although trust me, I’m reluctant to do this.

“HEY! Get in here now before…”

No one. Gone. Vanished. Nothing was out there but the now raging snow squall outside. The door overrode me holding it open, it forced itself shut, a safety feature. WHAM! I continued to stare at the back of the door, beyond frightened, breathing a bit too fast. Was I imagining that?! Am I crazy?! Another panic attack set in and I slowly backed away from the door. The alarms were still going in full force, but they were more muffled on the inside of the generator. The lights were flashing red in the area. I swallowed, feeling a bit of the arctic air seep through the walls as the wind picked up to a train-like roar. If I was outside for just a minute or two longer, I wouldn’t be standing here now. Fear set in, and I quickly turned around and made a beeline for the elevator. I pressed the down button. Once the elevator arrived, I proceeded to enter it. I pressed the ground floor button, and the doors started to close. I still stared at the green door to the roof, more than spooked.

I wiped my draining nose on my frozen sleeve, before I looked at my hands to find they were more than red, and my already red scars on my left hand were even darker. My clothes were frozen stiff, and I groaned, trying to frantically rub my hands together to try to create friction to try to warm them up. I'm sure I'll defrost soon. I have a higher tolerant to the cold than the others, since I go outside often, but still this wasn't good for me.

The elevator started to lurch downwards towards the ground floor.

“C..Colton… Harland...what…WHO was that?!” I whispered to myself, just to keep talking to make myself feel better. I'm hoping Harland's not dead...I still haven't found any luck searching for him on the internet. I reached behind me and felt the back of my thermal turtle neck. I felt there was a tear in it now, that wasn't there before.

I couldn't have imagined this...someone grabbed me for sure! I don’t think I’ll ever know WHAT was out there exactly, but to be honest…I don’t want to find out.
