hmmm felt the need to doodle some this past week..hadn't done it in a while, and this is the result.
painted in PS on texture. i used a brush for saturn..
but i dont remember where the hell it came from.. :\
thats about it.. plz dont tell me the star sucks..
cuz i dont care, and im not touching this ever again. ~.~

amazing now knowing that it's digital!
i mean,...it's even got a 3D 'look' about it. like some of the strokes/lines(?) are 'raised'.

this was a fun piece to do, i loved sinking into the scene and colors

so you don't know what i'm talking about? that's pretty strange. you did not make it to make a piece in this "genre"? it means you're a fucking genius, but very unknowing at the same time. i really don't get it right now...
to make it more manifest: "it's like an illustration for a tale." ...but that's in a wider sense. meh!

yeah like an illustration in a solfeggio-book, but that's too common for this. i really can't describe this style properly, it's like a movie, where the scenery was made of paper hanging on sticks or twines, and the movie was very crappy and old, probably b&w. there are plenty of music videos like that, but only "stereolab: the free design" comes into my mind now.

nope i dont make things in any kind of form, they just come out how they come out.. im honestly not very well versed in styles and things.. i just know what i like and what makes me feel something.. so youre saying its like something out of a storybook? like.. a representation of a tale or a story?

I love your doodles. They always seem more personal somehow than your other work. I look forward to them because they feel like revelations. They're always so well done, and this one is no exception. I like the color scheme that you used here, and the contrast with/focus on the torn sky and the night shining through. I'm not sure exactly what this symbolizes; I thought at first that it was that you had to tear through the day to get to the night, the sleep (you've said before you have trouble sleeping) but then the title led me to believe maybe it's only an imaginary day with sleep and night actually beneath it, always hovering there. And you dream that you're really living but then you fall through the cracks into night again. I enjoy trying to interpret what abstract conceptual things like this mean.

my doodles are much more personla to me than my phtomanips, well all my art come from something inside me, but my doodles are deifnatley a more primal and raw side of my emotions.. tus much more abstract.. sometimes its hard to really express what it is thats going on inside of me in a flat out way.. my doodles tend to mimic the way i write..
im inclined to say your second thinking of this was correct.. with a bit of the first mixed in.. sleep has always eluded me in some frm or fashion.. it even becmones a tool that i use in my rmotional responces. i guess in a way, i was trying to show how day and night merge together.. the star shooting into the day sky.. when you dont sleep, when insomina and night terrors have a hold of you, night and day become non-exsistant.. they're just one. Though the nighttime tends to be a bit more elusive and overbearing..(creating cracks) hmm it TOTALLY made sense in myhead while doing it.. lol

It's funny Jess..because everytime you work on one of these "doodles", you always say its nothign special and that its just a doodle.. but dizzamn, your doodles are fantastic.. beyond fantastic even.. words fall short of what I think the calibur of your doodles are.. I mean your creativity just spews into these doodles , and when it all comes together in the end you always end up with something amazing.. I am truly impressed, amazing, and jealous by your mad skizzills.. I mean your use of textures and doodling skills and creaitivity and all of that combined just turn into something i've never really seen before.. and thats just..crazy, beacuse in this day in age when it comes to art i've seen it all.. but your doodles are something new to me, and I love every single one of them.. This one is especially nice though.. The tear, a rift in the sky separating day and night.. and then they beging to merge, the stars shootings across the daylight sky ..To me when I see this, I See dusk over top rolling hills in summer time, I Dunno ~.~ when its not quite night out, but the stars come to play anyway, and eveyrthing gets lost in a beautiful transition.. lost, but not forgotten.. I loved this one (Even though im biased and I love all of your doodles..wel cept for the freaky cat, yar)

You are the best doodler I've ever seen! I wish I could doodle that good! As you know I LOVE it!!! I love the warm golden browns and yellow colors of this! It looks like an abstract celestial painting! It seriously looks like something that should be hanging up in an art museum! The star is a wonderful touch! Shush up.. who would say the star sucks? Textures are kinda similar to that of caves with this also similar to a cave drawing... I'll just say it's fantastic because it is and my brain can't think of anything else to say that would make sense.
