Backstory:
He used to be a knight that fought for the King of Light, but refused to attack a shade in front of the king. The king then cursed him, binding him to the ruins of the Shade Kings palace, where he had to stay and watch the Shade Kings curse take down both kingdoms. Even though he died many years ago the kings spell still holds him captive making him an undead.
At first he tried to break the curse and break free, but with time he realised that he couldn't and came to the conclusion that there was no hope for anyone, since the very beginning. He still guards the palace.
Personality:
He lost hope a long time ago and doesn't have much of a personality left after seeing everyone die, while he was unabled to do anything to help them. Maybe somewhere deep inside him could sstill be a spark of hope left, drowned out by the seemingly unending darkness of the place he is trapped in.

His body doesn't reflect any light, because of his curse
The shade he refused to attack was his friend
