Still burning... — Description
◕Personal art - 2018 ◕

... in my heart.

Done this piece as a tribute to my father who is sadly gone since 4 years. Instead of being sad each 22th of march
I try to be happy to create something for him. Creating this character that represent him was the best way
I found to mourn him but still go forward and I'm very happy I did.
Each year I'm excited about what I'm going to draw. And my family like it too. It's like we gather around a piece of work I do.
Always turn negative things that happen to you into useful experience !

If you want some infos about the symbols here :
- I chosen a leopard to represent him because he was a former landscaper and climber trees a lot. He was also strong but thin like a cat.

- Fire is his elements. He used to burn tree cuts and branch a lot in his former work. He was also a guide for mentally disabled persons after that,
helping a lot of people to control themselves or to come back to social life.
He was smoking pipe. That's also why I often draw him with smoke. He wanted to be cremated.

- Ginkgo tree and leaves are linked to a memories that I have with him. He always knew all the plants and tree names and where they came from.
He taught me a lot and gave me the love for nature. This tree represent the wisdom, longevity and the legacy for me. That's also why some part of
the tree are burning. Since I still use the knowledge and values he gave me everyday.

Thanks so much for reading this about my father. He was an awesome man and I'm glad I can make him live again in our thoughts and in my drawings.
