I Promised you... — Description
Story: It's the end times. Destruction of the world in underway. Everyone who was a christain have been raptured. The people who are left behind live in darkness everyday. They have questions, but no one seems to answer directly. They are filled with rage. These people destroy one another. The release for their anger? Destroy the ultimate life form who was supposed to protect them. Because he can't die, everyday is filled with pain and suffering as they continue to beat him. The shoot, stab and whip him, but he doesn't fight back. Why? He made a promise long ago. As a group of kids beat him senseless, all he can think about is the good times he once knew. His eyes dilate in pain both physical and emotional. Another hit on the head sends him into unconciousness. The gang continues to beat him until it seems no more blood can flow out of him. They leave. Shadow awakes sometime later in a pool of scarlet liquid. He cringes in pain as he tries to stand up. His wounds will heal eventually, but the humans will be back to re-open them. He limps towards home, thinking to himself. Looking to sky, tears run down his face, washing the blood away. "Maria, I'll be alright. I won't fight back, just as i promised you. Please, don't hesitate to take me."
