Description Out of the most recent updates (Gun Mettle, Invasion and Tough Break). Gun Mettle has received the most approval, Tough Break the most criticism and Invasion? Everyone just seems to have forgotten about that one. But why is that? Was it a bad update? Was it a good update? Well, I think the reason, is because it was "Average" compared to the other two.

Invasion added in only cosmetics and a few gun reskins (Pistol, Wrangler, Machina and Bat were the only touched weapons), which to be fair; only the Stocks were touched previously, and with the addition of a Wrangler and Machina skin, it shows promise for all weapons receiving skins so; if you like skins, let's hope for some good ones (come on... Diamondback skin). Personally though, I feel Invasion focused too hard on 4 specific classes: Scout, Pyro, Engie, Sniper, as nearly all the gear was aimed at them, and none of the others got much of anything. Hell, Medic and Soldier didn't even get any unique gear in it, Spy Heavy and Demo only got one unique cosmetic each.

But, Invasion has another reasoning, for why I wish it would be given more attention. For those who don't know, the Invasion update; is named after TF2's beta: TF2: Invasion. It was an early version based around the Half-Life world involving humans and aliens pitted against each other for resources. It likely would have played the same as TF2; but with one side being humans and the other being Aliens. I'm guessing the reason it was cut was because the different hitboxes would've thrown players off, since the Alien's heads seem to be part of their torso, while the humans heads are clearly distinguished.

At the end of the day though, Invasion is one of my favorite TF2 updates because it didn't need to change too much. Every other TF2 update always adjusts weapons, changes stuff and results in awkward scenarios where people are trying to determine whether or not weapons are "good" or "Broken" or "useless" now that they've been changed.

All I can hope, is that one of these days, we'll get an update where Soldier gets nerfed. And the Ambassador too. With Comp almost on it's way (it's in Beta right now) it's becoming more and more clear that Soldier (being countered by Heavy and Pyro) is the most powerful class in the game, since he's good at everything (he can run Roamer, Support or Pick), and his counters are easy to take out with supported teamwork. Since Heavy is the center of Snipers and Spies, and Pyro needs to be on the game with his reflecting.

As for the Amby, Spy should not be able to take half the health of 8/9 mercs in one shot. How is this balanced?
