I am a kitty, a purr etty kitty.

I sit in my cup, which I really love,

   it's I who has the say.

My paws are clean,

my coat has sheen,

   and I like to go out and play.

So scratch my chin,

and feed me fish,

  and let me sleep all day.

I'll ruin your furniture,

and tangle your yarn,

  but as long as you love me,

I won't cause harm.
