"You know, we really don't have to do this..."At his words she finally raised her head and gave him a bewildered stare, then looked away again, embarrassed.
"We... I think we're meant to... we just got married..."
Rhistel almost threw up his hands for the frustration. It wasn't cold at all in there, but she kept shivering since they first entered the room.
Scared.
And he didn't even touch her once, he didn't even talk to her at all, so what about the damn fear? Like he wanted to be in that situation to begin with!
He let out a tired sigh, "listen, I can clearly see that this is not the right time... so, why don't you just put on your robe again and calm yourself a little? I'll have a servant bring you something warm to drink."
He then turned to leave the room, but he didn't even touch the door handle that the girl started sobbing.
He stared back at her in disbelief.
"What... what now?
She hid her face in her hands, ashamed, "I'm... I'm sorry, I'm SO sorry... I shouldn't be acting like this... I just.. I..." she took a deep breath, then lowered her hands again, forcing herself to look as composed as she could, "It's just that... I.. I've never been with a man before..."
Rhistel sighed again, trying his best to look calm, "well, neither I... for what is worth.... it's not a big deal..."
She sniffed and gave him a sly look, "well.. that sounds... appropriate, I suppose?"
His eyebrows twitched "...appropriate? That.. that's just not what I meant... of course I've never been with a man...." he shrugged, "I meant that I've never been with a woman..."
He was also going to add that he really wasn't interested in the whole thing either, but the incredulous look of the girl prevented him from ending the sentence.
"Well... what's with that face now?"
She blinked twice, her eyes still stuck on him, as if he was a sort of odd creature.
"Are.. are you serious?"
He crossed his arms and grimaced, "I can't see what's the big issue... "
She just kept staring at him. Actually, he noticed, that was the first time she looked straight at him for more than a couple of seconds.
Thrilling.
"..does it look so strange that I never did it before?"
She finally looked away and blushed slightly, "well, ye... NO, I mean no... it's not a bad thing... it's just.."
Rhistel rolled his eyes annoyed and reached again for the door handle, "someone will be back with your tea, I'll see you tomorrow..."
But then again, before he could leave the room, he was dragged back, this time in a more physical way, since the girl actually grabbed him by the back of his shirt.
"..what again?"
He turned around to find her standing few inches from him, still shivering in her nightgown. He tried to get away, but she just wrapped her arms around his waist, hiding her face against his chest. Deadly embarrassed he looked away, scowling.
"Just let me go now..."
She shook her head and squeezed him slightly, "You know, given the circumstances... I think that maybe spending our first night together would be more appropriate..."
What can I say? Their story really didn't start in the best way...
and it also ended in the worst...
I should feel ashamed liking Rhistel with Kaili more than with Elyon, shouldn't I? u__ù
