This drawing led me into some uncharted terrain. I hadn't really ever done anything quite like this before. In the past, I've really stayed away from shading. However, my art teacher (he's terrific) gave me this tool called a shading stump. So, I decided, "What the heck, why not?" and gave it a shot. It was actually kind of fun!The pose in this drawing is obvious: terror. In this drawing, I'm picturing the gang locked inside of a haunted house (this happens in a Scooby-Doo fan fiction story I'm currently writing...I'll submit it here as soon as it's done). Lots of creepy-crawlies are surrounding them and terrifying them! I'd have to say the hardest part about this drawing was the shading itself. The sketching part was nothing new, but all the shadows took a little extra thinking. All in all, though, I like how it turned out!
