Shadow — Description
Ah, Shadow. My dear edgy child …. I love him to death <3

Honestly, developing him as a character has been so much fun. And deciding to make him the main and possibly only point of view character for The Challenger was probably the best decision I could have made.

Yes, this does make Shadow the central character of the Challenger (also *coughcough* he's said challenger)

Wow. I really messed with the original Redwall, didn't I? Eh, it makes it all the more mine and less of a copy. I mean, it was already quite different, and then I made Shadow the hero and focal point of the story. *mahahahahah*

Anyways, this will (hopefully) be the central piece of some cover art I'm working on. We'll see. And I've been digital arting! We could probably even call this Inktober if we wanted …… *finds fitting prompt*

Yes, Shadow has Sampetrian looking clothes, both he and Cluny originate from there. That's also why his weapons are twin katanas and he's basically a ninja. And he does occasionally not wear the signature hooded cape. Occasionally. This is one of those rare times. :3

Getting the entire tale of The Challenger from Shadows point of view will be a trip … he's so blunt and sarcastic in his world view. He thinks Ivy's weird and unsettling, he thinks Cornflower's stupid, and he thinks Matthias is the most sickeningly placid person he's ever come across. (I mean, in general he thinks everyone at Redwall is sickeningly placid, but Matthias is so genuinely kind and sheltered that it really gets on his nerves) Also he has no reservations about openly telling them what he thinks. And that goes for everyone but his dad, who he's not a little terrified of. So it's fun *evil laugh*
