man, I need to stop pursuing this idea, lol. I'm going to end up super disappointed if Tahno turns out to not have some kind of redemptive character arc. I'll hate it if they leave him as douchey as he started off. Also I'm very ready now to hear from the Spirit World...

Someone should definitely write this. No, it should happen in the show. Tahno, being a jerk but not an outright villain, could grow into something more it and it would be a good story.
I'm surprised to find he's got such a following!

haha! well, the idea of the fic prompt is that he has to somehow earn his bending back. go on a mad quest, learn about himself and others etc etc. and then perhaps gets his bending back, and perhaps realizes he doesn't need it. or whatever.

*shrug* i guess for me it has less to do with what we've seen from him, and more to do with his potential. i'm a huge sucker for redemptive character arcs, and i'm really hopeful that they might do something like that with Tahno.

Sorry if I seem blunt about this, but I've heard that line before in other fandoms, and it's never used for anyone the audience is supposed to like. I've seen that used on bullies, braggarts, and one glorified redshirt, and it rang just as hollow then as it does now.

I will be downright shocked if the Spirit World is not a major part of S2. Tahno, I'm starting to lose hope on a little ...

I would be surprised if they didn't include the Spirit World too, especially because Amon claims that the spirits gave him his de-bending power and Korra's just starting to get in touch with her spiritual side.
I still hope that Tahno will make another appearance, but not just a cameo appearance. (C'mon Bryke, we need a character with a redemptive story.)

I am almost certain the Spirit World will pop up soon. Amon talked about spirits giving him a vision (an evil spirit?), and recently Korra was upset about how she can't contact the spirit world and how she was a "spiritual failure." Maybe Tahno will help her not be a spiritual failure?

Never hated indecisiveness this much before.
I can't decide between a one-shot or an actual length fic, short or long.
I find myself mulling over some wicked ideas... like the idea of Yue choosing Tahno as her champion and inferring that Sokka was the previous Champion of the Moon, hence her needing a new one.
Other idea's include him going to the Northern Water Tribe, with or without Team Avatar and discovering the Oasis. Of course it would all be so much easier if I could find the right inspiration, and if my dog would stop trying to eat my shoes... :/
