Gift - Crystal Magic — Description

This is a gift for featuring her OC Devvy with my character Jessica Crystal.
I'm very grateful for all your gift drawings so I decided to return the favour and make a gift drawing for you!
The inspiration for this came from Devvy's character sheet that says he likes crystals, the colour yellow and has a strong elemental affinity with light so I decided to draw him with Jessica Crystal who is performing some crystal magic with a light/yellow crystal. The amazed expression for Devvy is based off this drawing of him becoming self aware and I did my best to make the age gap between them (16 for Devvy, 28 for Jessica) noticeable.
The yellow square "mirror" is actual magic since when I was making this, the square would keep showing up for reasons I don't even know and every time I would try to by pass it, it would keep showing up as if I was performing some kind of magic trick myself. So I decided to keep it and treat it as a magical artifact or "mirror" of some kind to make the magic show more magical.
This is, for me, the greatest digital artwork I've ever done and I doubt I'll ever surpass or even equal this so the fact it's a gift makes it extra special for me compared to my usual artworks. I also included my original line work as a bonus so you can see where it all began.
I really loved making this and I'm both very happy and satisfied with the final result. Definitely one of the best things I've made in 2026 and the highlight of all my digital artworks.
