The Same Story — Description
This is something I drew for Amerel's backstory, and the male is half elf and the half brother to my twin's tiefling rogue character. (Same Father different mother)

Living with a strict father, after the loss of her mother at a young age, Amerel remained in her home, playing with her childhood friend Liam. After a few years, while wandering in the forest near her home she ran into a half elf, Nolan, who she got to know over time.

As the years continued they started falling in love and Nolan began teaching her the importance of stories and the power that Bards had. Nolan also, over time, told her his own story. How he was the some of a notorious pirate, most recognizable for the playing card themed tattoos they all have and how he wanted to get away so he ran from the sea and began telling the stories of others.

During their times talking to one another Amerel's friend Liam caught them and knew that her father would not approve as he brought the news to him. The night they are found by Liam the two had exchanged rings with one another with plans of getting married and of her leaving her home. Nolan also gives Amerel a trinket, a gold coin with notches cut in the sides, that he always kept around his neck, saying that it was something important and would help Amerel if she ever met one of his sisters.

After some time Amerel goes to visit family and deliver something to them from her father only to return just as Nolan is killed, her father claiming that he was there with the intentions of killing them all and stealing all that they had, after finding the tattoo that marked him as a pirate.

After Nolan is killed Amerel leaves her home and follows Nolan's life of telling the stories, though the one she has trouble telling is the one of her love. After traveling for awhile she comes across the shore and finds A Tiefling, who at first glance appears dead. Upon closer inspection the Tiefling is alive, and bares the Tattoo of Nolan's sister that he had shown Amerel years before.
