One evening as Sam was walking through the wet streets he passed the windows of the brothel on Walkers Street. His gaze followed a loud laughter he was recognizing..he followed it through the window briefly but to his horror there was a familiar face. A face he never wanted to see near a brothel ever again.
"Wasn't his business doing well?- the pharmacy had good takings... why?... why...?"
Sam ran to the door, his thoughts and heart racing like wild bees.
His hand remained on the cold handle.
For a long time he was staring at it, the claw of metal bored into his hand.
...why?
His cheeks grow warm - why....crying wasnt an option right now... not in front of a brothel, not now..not now..
Sam was walking without knowing where.. after some time the light of the dim lanterns brought him to the edge of a field, far, lonely and quiet.
The blades of grass crossed his hands, he watering it without realizing it.
his knees gave way....why?
